THOUGHTCRIME was the work of second year students from BA Arts & Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
This work, produced in the centenary year of George Orwells's birth, was in direct response to Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four and highlights its relevance to the present day. Although sinister and dark by virtue of its origins, this exhibition contained a huge diversity of approaches and outcomes with very surprising results.
The exhibition inaugurated the dark throat-like space that is the underground tram tunnel in Southampton Row, a minute from Holborn Tube station in London, England.
Thoughtcrime ran from 23-29 April 2004, and was open 12-5pm daily.
