Clicking on the round Mode button switches between the Powerfield and the Nudger display. The Nudger is shown above. To return to the Powerfield display, click again on the Mode button. Click on a control label for an explanation.

 

Individual or Group transform
Click on the left hand side icon (four little squares) to alter each selected item individually. Click on the right hand side with the single square icon to alter all selected items (selected with the pointer tool) as a group.

The Individual Transform Setting
If you enter the value 174 in the
Left field with the individual option selected, then type return, all the selected items will be moved so their left edge is at 174 pixels.
Enter 100 in the
width field with this option and all the selected objects will be made 100 pixels wide.

 

Options Menu
The Options menu pops up a list of useful commands.

Picture allows you to choose a file for the currently selected draw graphic item.

New Horizontal Guide creates a new horizontal guide in your current project window. This can be dragged with the pointer or browse tools and objects can align to it.

New Vertical Guide creates a vertical guide.

Snap Items to guides makes objects align to guides after a drag when the edge of the object under the mouse pointer is close to the guide.
Lock Guides stops guides from being able to be dragged around.

Show guides shows or hides all guides in the current window.

Align There are various align commands. Choose one to align all the currently selected objects with each other.

The Group Transform Setting
If you enter the value 174 in the
Left field with the group option selected, then type return, all the selected items in the current window of your project will move as a group so the leftmost edge of the group is at 174 pixels.
Entering 100 in the width field with this option will cause the selected objects to scale as a group. The total width of the group will be 100 pixels wide. If the
Lock proportions button is hilited, the height of the group will scale to keep the proportions of the group.

 

Nudge Selected items
The eight different buttons on this control nudge the selected objects in the indicated direction. The number in the middle can be changed to alter the number of pixels to nudge each time.
Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to also nudge selected objects.

Set X and Y coordinates
Click on one of the nine buttons in the
Set Anchors control to change which X and Y coordinates these fields display. The options are:
Left, X Centre, Right
Top, Y Centre, Base (bottom)

Set width and height
Click

Lock proportions
This causes width to scale proportionally to the height value entered or vice versa when this button is hilited.

 

Bring forward or Shuffle Back
Click the plus icon to cause the currently selected objects to shuffle forward. Command click on it to bring them to the front.
Click the minus icon to shuffle currnetly selected objects backwards. Click on it with the command key down to send them to the back.
