The Drawer
The drawer has several tabs which access a range of features. Click on the green window corner gadget to see the drawer, and use the tabs at the bottom to go to the different sections.

Messages
The messages pane can display messages that you send to it. It is useful for keeping track of a project while it is running. To place a message at the top of the scrolling field from your project, use this line:

mmsg "hello"

To place a message in the smaller field above the scrolling field, use this line:

tmsg "hello"

The smaller field can only contain one line. You can also enter commands into it like the message box.

Colours
This colour palette updates to show the 256 CLUT table of the current card in your project.Click to set the fillFore of the current selection to a colour. Option-click to set the penFore. Command-click to set the fillBack. Option-Command-click to set the penBack.

Tools
You can drag and drop items from this tool selection onto your project. Click on a tool to select it as the current tool.

Prefs
This lets you set various preferences for QuickTools. If Auto Guides is turned on, then when you drag a single object around, automatic guidelines will appear allowing you to align it with other items in your project. This works in a similar way to the automatic guidelines in Interface Builder.
You can choose whether to use the QuickTools contextual menu when you control-click on an item in your projects.
